Congratulations to The Wakeboard Camp’s own Robert Sichel for getting the prestigious cover shot on the 2012 Alliance Gear Guide!
Those of you who have come to the camp know Bob from being coached by him, seeing him spin and flip into the lofty atmosphere behind one of the camp Malibus, or even from dining and enjoying his delicious culinary creations. We couldn’t be more proud here at TWC with our rider Amber Wing being crowned once again as the “Best Female” for 2011 to go along side her numerous other 2011 titles: Pro Tour Champion, Queen Of Wake, National and World Champion. Let’s just combine them all to make her 2011 Female Champion of the Universe!
Every year the main attraction is for the Best Trick award, with the whole wakeboarding community waiting to see what the boys have landed that will leave us all mind blown! This year there was taken out by Eric Ruck, with a mute back mobe into a step up pool. Though our favorite was our very own Robert Sichel who kept secret from us here at TWC his latest crazy move, a Double Indy Tantrum! Bob has worked really hard trying to land this trick, leaving him with stitches over his face and also what at first looked like a broken face. His dedication definitely paid off!

Once again our own Bob Sichel has been showing up all over the internet. He scored the cover of issue 33 of Wake Journal, which is an online wakeboard publication.
But first we have a quick little video of Bob with all kinds of angles. He strapped a GoPro camera to himself and his handle and just about anything else they could think that could handle a mounted GoPro. Check out the video right here:

Those of you who have come to the camp in the past few years have likely had a chance to see our own Robert Sichel ride. He’s been going bigger, spinning more, and grabbing harder lately than ever before.

Everyone is enjoying the balmy weather that has been brining glassy water and blue skies, fingers crossed that we will be seeing this everyday! After the past few weeks of storms the water level on our chain of lakes has risen which, is always a good help to get the big clean wakes we all enjoy from the camp Malibu’s.
The annual TWC migration has begun with old and new faces settling in for the warmer months. Australians Bec Gange, Jamie Brooks, Hayley Smith, Amber Wing with New Zealander Darren Bishop are all escaping the Southern winter, while our token Mexican Marcos Torres who has been a camper at TWC on numerous occasions is also joining our crew in the build up to the 2009 World titles. Add to all of those names Kyle Schmidt, Chad Lowe, Kurt Robertson, Robert Sichel, Billy Park and Kaesen Suyderhoud who are our full time coaches.
As you all can tell things are looking great for the 2009 summer so go get your board shorts and towel packed, we will see you all soon at TWC!!
