Newsletter Spring/Summer 2002
Wakeboard Camp Team Rider Aaron Reed dominates Alliance Wakeboard Magazine’s ollie over the Red Bulls contest. Saturday April 27th 2002 was the day. Riders included Parks Bonifay, Brian Grub, Keith Lyman (TWC), Eric Ruck, Cyril Cornaro (TWC), Patrick Hagan (TWC), Daryll Walker (TWC), Juria Tittle and Daniel Watkins.
The concept was simple, invite all the top wakeskaters in the world out to the Wakeboard Camp for a day of skating, good food, killer tunes and some photos. Next, set up a few cases of Red Bull and start pullin pros towards it on the Sea Doo GTI. They got three tries, if they can ollie over the cans, they proceed to the next round. If not, they find a seat, grab a beer and watch as the stack of cans gets higher. I can’t remember the exact numbers but Aaron went a whole extra round by himself and beat the nearest rider by nearly a foot!
Needless to say everyone had a blast and word is that there will be more parties to come. We would like to give a very special thanks to Sea Doo for supplying the boats.

Also thanks to Aaron for coming up with the idea, Alliance for organizing the event, Red Bull for the drinks and Sarah Hagan, Jessica Cottam and Maree Corry, our Wakeboard Camp Chefs, for buffing everyone out with the killer food. Look for a feature article in an upcoming issue of Alliance telling the whole story with cool photos by Tony Smith and Joey Meddock.

Hyperlite exclusive at TWC. Over the last few months PJ has been talking to Hyperlite about working out a deal that would benefit both companies. The two have agreed on terms that will make Hyperlite the exclusive boards, bindings and wakeskates of The Wakeboard Camp. Hyperlite will also be supplying brand new vests, ropes and handles by Accurate and wetsuits for the fall and winter. Thanks guys.
PJ will also be riding Hyperlite when he can find the time to actually get out on the water. Hyperlite also has their eyes on some other coaches and team riders at the camp. Look for more news about this relationship as it develops.

New Sea Doos arrive at the Camp. We are proud to say that we have enjoyed our first full year with Sea Doo and look forward to a long relationship with this awesome company. Our slider park would be useless without these great boats. They are so easy to drive through the course, they are great on fuel and they are the boat of choice for wakeskating too.
The Wakeboard Camp signs team riders. Keith Lyman, Cody Ramsey, Aaron Reed and Joey Arcisz are now representing the camp.
Between the team riders, the coaches and our slider park, we have been getting some serious coverage in the mags. Here is a list of what kind of photos we have had the last few months, if you care.
