2010 Wake Games

May 12th, 2010 by Billy Park

The Wakeboard Camp would like to congratulate everybody who rode at the 2010 Wake Games! The Wakeboard Camp’s own had a strong showing. Hayley Smith came in 5th, Amber Wing got 3rd, Ben Greenwood made it past 2 rounds of action and into the semifinals, and Kurt Robertson pulled a Phil Mickelson and became the new Masters Champion!

All of us at TWC really enjoyed bumping into many of our friends at the games. It’s always fun to see our water slashing friends come back to support the sport we all love. Thanks for making it a fun weekend everybody!

Kyle and Chad’s Lake Santa Maria Clinic

April 26th, 2010 by chad

In March Kyle Schmidt and Chad Lowe went down to Lake Santa Maria Mexico for a 5 day clinic for Wakeclinics.com.  Thanks to German for bringing down some of The Wakeboard Camp coaches to Mexico to help promote wakeboarding south of the border.

Kaesen Suyderhoud

March 30th, 2010 by Billy Park

Kaesen Suyderhoud As wakeboarders, many of us are concerned with doing fun and difficult things on a wakeboard, but would like to be able to add a unique flavor of personal style to those things. Just last year, Kaesen Suyderhoud started showing up all over pages, whether they were on paper or the internet, demonstrating his own interpretation of style.

If you were at The Wakeboard Camp last summer, you may have had the chance to see Kaesen (among many others) ride in person. You’ll know what we’re talking about when we say that he has his own unique style which is very fun and inspiring to watch.

For further evidence, check out his recent photo gallery over on Wakeworld.com: Kaesen Suyderhoud photo gallery.

Spring Break is Here

March 15th, 2010 by Billy Park

In this first week of Daylight Savings Time, The Wakeboard Camp has awaken! We are banging on all cylinders as we are wakeboarding with a great group of dedicated riders from Oklahoma, Texas, the Netherlands, and some places in between.

Riders of all ages are here with us to enjoy the spring time weather. Kyle Schmidt and the coaches, including Amber Wing and Ben Greenwood, will be behind the wheel all week teaching everybody to get that new bag of tricks.

Thanks to the Dokes for putting together a great group of riders. Also thanks go out to those with us who came on their own. It’s one of those great TWC weeks, come join us some time this spring to see what you’re missing out on!
