Nikos Samanoglou was here at The Wakeboard Camp with us for a few weeks in January of 2009. We had a great time with him, and his video camera was rolling throughout the trip. He put some pretty funny clips together and shared a video with us. Thanks Nick!

(The Wakeboard Camp does not condone the shooting of guns and doesn’t include it in our program. That was an activity that these adult campers did on their own time.)

The 2009 WWA Wakeboard National Championships were held last weekend in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Our Amber Wing placed 3rd (with a perfect score in the semi-finals) and Hayley Smith finished 4th. Plus, up and coming Pro Women’s rider and Wakeboard Camp regular Dani Petraitis placed 5th. GREAT GOING LADIES!

Amber sets the bar high once again!

On July 1st Amber Wing became the first women’s wakeboarder to land a Heelside Frontside 720. She didn’t land it off the double up either but decided to take the harder route and landed it wake to wake instead, which makes the accomplishment that much sweeter. As some of you might already know, Amber was the first to land a 720 of any kind for the women when she landed a Toeside Frontside Off Axis 720 wake to wake a few years back. This recent 720 milestone took place here at The Wakeboard Camp on Lake Minneola during a video shoot with Jonathan from TheWakePlace.com. Nice work Amber!
